408 Laker country fans stood and applauded. The Lakers had done the almost unthinkable. 32 seconds showed on the scoreboard, and Mercyhurst would not touch the ball again, but more importantly on the scoreboard the score: 80-59. Being pitted against their second undefeated team in a row, it would be a daunting task at best.

Last weekend’s home series with Michigan State was another disappointment for Laker fans.  In another home sweep of Lakers Hockey, Michigan State showed why it deserves to be ranked 4th in the nation with a 3-2 and 5-2 win.
