A natural extension of this, of course, is the fact that decreasing amounts of money being made by people in the state lead to decreasing amounts of tax dollars – and for a state-funded institution (which LSSU is – don’t let the bill in your mailbox fool you), that means concerns. Owner Marta La Londe explains that “We’re doing this as a gesture of support for studying... we understand that you’re busy and you’re poor, so we just want you to be able to come here and eat cheaply.” Originally this special was offered on Sunday evenings, but La Londe was getting the impression that students don’t do very much studying on Sundays, so she has just this week decided to change the day to Monday.
