Right now The Sault Community Theater is busily preparing for their production of Larry Shue’s “THE NERD”. The comedy revolves around a confident and happy architect who has his life flipped upside when a rather nerdy character comes to visit. The show was first presented by the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. After an appearance in Great Britain, the show went to Broadway. Walter Coleman will be playing lead in his second performance with Sault Community Theater. Supporting him are Beau Korson, Ashley Traynor, Will Fowler, and Sarah Coleman. Larry Shue has also written other comedies including “The Foreigner” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, his pieces have all received good reviews and he’s even been called “an overlooked comedic genius”. Due to the lack of heat in the Soo Theatre Project, Sault Area High School’s Strahl Theater will host performances on February 21 through the 23 with doors open to the public. The performances begin at 8 pm. Tickets can be reserved by calling Jane at (906)748-1089. Tickets for Adults are $10, $8 for seniors, and student tickets are $5. Add as favourites (0)
