On Wednesday February 6 2008, the Activities Board once again put on a free bowling night for Lake State’s students. It took place from 10pm-12am. As usual, students were lining up early to be able to get a lane, since this is such a popular event. This event was all part of the one of many events taken place during the LSSU Winter Carnival. As many other activities put on around campus, students just needed to present a current student ID to get in. This included free bowling, shoe rental, and a chance to win many prizes. The prizes included things such as movies, games, and Wal-Mart gift cards of various amounts. Free transportation to and from the event via a shuttle bus was provided for those who were unable to drive themselves. Clayton Long said that “I had so much fun at bowling night because I beat my personal record, and I had a great time with all of my friends. Free bowling is put on at various times for students throughout the school year, so be on the lookout for the next time this event will take place.
