As of Fall 2007, the Financial Aid department has decided to try something new with excess aid checks. Normally, the checks would be made available at the beginning of the semester, for the students to use at their leisure. Now, however, things have change. During the first two weeks of the semester, beginning on August 31st, excess aid checks will be limited to only $500. Any student who is receiving more than $500 in excess aid will be given their check on or after September 18th, 2007. Students were notified of the change in the way excess aid is being handled via email so that things can be taken care of accordingly. If you use your excess aid to pay for off campus housing, you may request a letter to give to your landlord, showing the excess aid that will be returned to you in order to pay for your housing. Requests can be made at the Business Office. Fall 2007 is also holding the opportunity to have your excess aid deposited directly into your bank account. To get your excess aid directly deposited, get a check or deposit slip for the account you would like to use, and bring it to the Business Office. Add as favourites (0)
